In order for general dentistry to be effective as a preventive tool, continuing care is necessary. For most patients, adequate care can be provided when patients schedule re-care appointments twice a year. However, if patients are susceptible to plaque buildup or other dental problems, we may suggest re-care appointments be scheduled more frequently. If any oral health concerns are detected at these appointments, appropriate treatment will be scheduled so that the problem can be treated before it develops into a more serious condition.
